A light, flavorful quiche with smoked salmon and fresh dill.
Ingredients:
1 pre-made pie crust
½ cup smoked salmon (chopped)
½ cup shredded Gruyère or cream cheese (cubed)
1 tbsp fresh dill (chopped)
4 eggs
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup milk
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
¼ tsp lemon zest
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
Roll out and blind bake the pie crust for 10 minutes, then set aside.
In a bowl, whisk together eggs, cream, milk, salt, pepper, and lemon zest.
Spread smoked salmon, cheese, and fresh dill evenly over the crust.
Pour the egg mixture on top.
Bake for 35-40 minutes until set.
Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing.
Tip: Serve with a dollop of sour cream on top.
